Event Description:
Join the Council for Quality Growth's South Metro Advisory Committee Meeting with Kimley-Horn Urban Designer and Planner, Eric Bosman.

The September South Metro Advisory will include an overview of the Fulton County Transit Master Plan process and findings to date. Council Member attendance and participation is highly encouraged.

Following last year’s ¾-cent TSPLOST referendum in Fulton County, the Mayors of the 14 Cities outside of Atlanta and the Fulton County Commission affirmed that a plan was needed to determine potential expansion of transit services in Fulton County. Eric Bosman of Kimley-Horn is leading the Fulton County Transit Master Plan effort to build from each City’s community and economic development strategies, analyze existing transit services and needs, and develop a financial model to determine the potential for expanding transit services within Fulton County.

The Fulton County Transit Master Plan will result in a framework that Fulton County and its municipalities will use to guide transit conversations and investments for decades to come.  The plan will establish:

  • A collective vision for future transit expansion and services within Fulton County
  • A project list for discussion with regional service providers and state partners
  • A financial plan that identifies funding for envisioned investments
