Tony Phillips is an accomplished and skilled Business Operations and Public Services professional with over 20 years of experience in multiple aspects of municipal government operations. He currently serves as the City Administrator for Fairburn, GA. In that role he is responsible for carrying out and implementing the policies and goals established by the City Council, and for the oversight of all day-to-day operations and finances to provide services to the citizens of Fairburn.

Tony is a native son of South Fulton County, growing up in College Park, and graduating from Lakeshore High School, He attended the University of Georgia, and received a B.A. in Business Administration with minors in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University. He has also completed over three hundred hours of focused post graduate study in municipal government with the University of Georgia’s Carl Vison Institute of Government earning their noted designation as a Certified Public Manager.

Tony spent the initial 15 years of his career in the private sector garnering impactful experience in Banking, Telecommunications, as well as Staffing/Recruiting. He has spent the last 20 years focused solely on municipal local government services and operations at both Fulton County Government (16 years) and the City of South Fulton.

During that time Tony has established an impressive record of accomplishments and consistent career advancement as a professional manager. He has practical supervisory and executive management experience in the following departments and functions,
