Christopher Light is a third-term Cumming City Councilman and a lifelong resident of Forsyth County, where his family has lived for several generations. A 2004 graduate of North Forsyth High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Columbus State University in 2009, where he also played collegiate baseball.
After graduation during the height of the recession, Light worked the night shift at Bald Ridge Boys Lodge while preparing for law school. He began his legal studies in 2010 and started his career with Lipscomb Johnson as a land use attorney, where he practiced for the first decade of his career. In 2016, he was elected to the Cumming City Council and has since been re-elected twice, now serving his third term.
This year, Light joined Bettis Musgrove, where he is expanding his legal practice into new areas of law while continuing his commitment to public service in the community he has always called home.
