Luke Howe has been with the City of Doraville since 2008. In that time, his work has crossed many disciplines, including grants, planning, communications, economic development, and infrastructure development.
 
The recipient of multiple awards, Howe currently serves as the city's Economic Development Director and also oversees grants and funding programs. Since its closure, Howe has served as principal project manager for the redevelopment of the General Motors plant. In this capacity he has overseen more than $1.6 billion in bonds, secured over $10 million in federal and state grants and loans, added 2,500 jobs. He also lead the recruitment of several high profile corporate headquarters to the site, including Big Green Egg and Serta Simmons Bedding Corporation.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Howe is a past Georgia Trend "40 Under 40" honoree, and a graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Leadership DeKalb, and the Regional Leadership Institute.
