Event Description:
Join the Council for Quality Growth's Cherokee Advisory Committee Meeting on May 14, 2020 with Commissioner Corey Ragsdale serving as the distinguished speaker.

Ragsdale is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and his family has lived there since 1832.  He graduated from Etowah High School in Woodstock and went to Southern Polytechnic State University where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009. In 2015, Ragsdale graduated from Mississippi State University with a Master's in Business Administration.

Ragsdale first became interested in county government when the SW HWY 92 corridor began to develop.  His family had lived in this area for generations and he became aware of major changes happening. Becoming aware of the changes to the area and how those changes were happening at the county level inspired him to get involved.  Supported by friends and family, Ragsdale ran successfully for County Commissioner in 2018.

His major development goals for the next 4 years as County Commissioner are to properly guide development in the SW Cherokee area, to better define development guidelines, and to have more public engagement in county planning activities.
