Event Description:
With nearly twenty years of local government and municipal planning experience, Brantley Day joined the City of Woodstock as the Director of Community Development in August 2015. Prior to joining Woodstock, Brantley was the Director of Operations with the Cumberland Community Improvement District (CCID), managing the CCID’s portfolio of capital and community projects valued at $215 million. Preceding his tenure with the CCID, Brantley served as the Community Development Director with the City of Holly Springs. He began his career as the City Planner and later Director of Community Development with the City of Riverdale, Georgia.
 
Brantley is credentialed as a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) of the American Planning Association and a 2013 graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute (RLI). He also serves as a board member on the ARC Transportation Coordinating Committee, appointed to represent Municipal District 1, including the cities in Cherokee, North Fulton, and Forsyth counties.
 
Brantley attended the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Brantley and his family reside here in Cherokee County, where he also serves as the Vice President of his homeowner’s association, the Mill Creek Community.
